Citing DC Government’s recent report on the significant increase of homelessness in Washington, DC, Mission President & CEO, Joe Mettimano said, “Central Union Mission has stepped up with interventions to not just meet the immediate needs of the poor, but to keep people off the street permanently. Housing is not a silver bullet solution. It must be matched with strategic “wrap-around” services, like the ones at the CFRC, to address the issues that continue to put and keep people in poverty.”
