Central Union Mission in Hopes of Record-breaking Donations for Giving Tuesday
Central Union Mission is hoping to receive record-breaking donations for Giving Tuesday this year. Donations will be used to continue to support our neighbors in need.
For over 139 years, Central Union Mission has been a beacon in the community serving some of the district’s poorest and most destitute families. The Mission has seen a dramatic increase in families seeking food, household goods and other support and services since the pandemic started in 2020. The Mission’s newly enhanced Comprehensive Family Resource Center not only meets immediate needs like providing food, clothing and household goods, but now offers job training and placement, housing counseling, digital literacy training, social service support and other supportive services.
According to Mission President & CEO Joe Mettimano, “Without the amazing support of our donors and the community, there are so many families who would not have access to very basic essentials such as food, shelter and clothing. I’m grateful that we can reach out to our community and get their unwavering support to ensure that the less fortunate are able to have their needs met.”
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to support an organization that directly impacts and supports the community we serve. Support Central Union Mission by donating here.
