Webster & Webster: From Volunteer to Major Donor

Long before Marcus Webster of Webster & Webster Associates made substantial financial donations to Central Union Mission, he was just a young boy in Ypsilanti, Michigan whose family would listen to a radio show called Unshackled that would often highlight the Mission’s work and purpose. He recalls, “The show would talk about Central Union Mission and the work they were doing, and it always stayed in the back of my mind. It planted a seed that never stopped growing.”

When Webster moved to Washington, DC, in the 1980’s, he was finally able to volunteer with Central Union Mission. He taught computer literacy classes with the Workforce Development program. “It was a full circle moment for me, and I was honored to do so because I loved that the Mission was literally saving lives while also spreading the gospel.”

Almost 40 years later, Marcus and his wife, Diavia, are the founders of Webster & Webster Associates. Together, they continue to generously donate their time and resources to the work of the Mission. “I like that I’m able to see our money at work. I can hop right on Twitter to see what Central Union Mission is up to and how they continue to enrich and bless a community that truly needs them.”

Webster & Webster has garnered unprecedented success as one of the nation’s leading recruiting agencies specializing in highly technical markets throughout North America and Europe. When asked for the key to their success, he said “We simply trust God. He’s our source and the common denominator in all that we’ve been able to do. We live by Proverbs 3:5; and we constantly ask for wisdom to make good decisions and guidance to always be in the right place at the right time.”
