Central Union Mission to Host Second Annual Job and Resource Fair in Northeast D.C.

Mission’s Comprehensive Family Resource Center Connects Job Seekers with Employment and Essential Support Services

Washington, DC—June 9, 2025—Central Union Mission’s Comprehensive Family Resource Center (CFRC) is thrilled to announce its second Job and Resource Fair, taking place on Tuesday, June 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 3194 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington, D.C.

Thanks to generous donor support, this event equips individuals with the tools they need for sustainable success, including access to job opportunities, career development resources, and holistic community services.

Last year’s event saw hundreds of attendees take steps toward stability through meaningful connections with local employers and service providers. This year’s fair builds on that momentum, featuring a wide range of partners including Truist Bank, Passport Auto, Coca-Cola Consolidated, United Healthcare, and many others.

“We are proud to continue this initiative that empowers our neighbors and opens doors to life-changing opportunities,” said Joe Mettimano, President & CEO of Central Union Mission. “This is more than a job fair—it’s a launchpad toward dignity, purpose, and long-term success.”

Attendees can expect:

  • Dozens of employers present
  • Community resources available
  • Workforce development and training agencies
  • Free information and giveaways

“We encourage all attendees to dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes,” added Brandon Bragg, Senior Director of Workforce Development and Education. “This fair could be the first step toward a brighter future.”

The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend—whether seeking employment, resources, or community support.
