One way to ensure a meaningful holiday experience is to create Mission GiftPAKs, gift boxes/bags for less fortunate families or individuals.
- Christmas Season GiftPAKs:
Help others have a Christmas to celebrate. Include a $25-$75 gift card. Some gift card suggestions are:
- Wal-Mart, Giant, Target, Safeway, Shell, BP, Exxon, Visa, Amazon, McDonalds, Chipotle, Popeye’s, Chick-fil-A
**DC Metro SmarTrip cards make super gifts as well!
**Include a Christmas ornament from your family, Christmas socks, Christmas candy and/or your favorite Bible verse!
Grocery GiftPAKs:
During this time of disease, privation and unprecedented inflation, help a family meet their nutritional needs.
**URGENT NEED!Since opening our new facility in Arlington VA, our numbers have increased, and nonperishable food items are needed now more than ever.
Toiletry GiftPAKs:
For so many families suffering from food insecurity, health and beauty items are a luxury.
Cold Weather GiftPAKs:
Help a fellow human in need brace against the elements. As you know, winter here in Washington can be dangerously cold, and people in our community who are experiencing poverty or homeless don’t have the proper warm clothing to withstand extreme temperatures. Help protect our vulnerable neighbors by donating GiftPAKs that include any combination of – men’s, women’s children’s coats, hats, gloves, and scarves and thermal underwear – all sizes are needed. [Make sure you label these GiftPAKs with sizes for easier distribution].
Pet GiftPAKs:
Pets need help too! Some of our guests have furry friends who need food and treats. Please consider making a GiftPAK for a dog or cat. [Make sure you label these GiftPAKs by pet type for easier distribution]
