Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Central Union Mission, below is a list of all events. Registration is required for ALL EVENTS. Please fill out the attached form and email to volunteer@missiondc.org or fax to 202-232-7072. A confirmation will be emailed to you one week prior to the event. Thank you.

You will see in the volunteer opportunities TABLE HOSTS; a table host is someone who will receive, dine and socialize (greet) with the guests dining at the mission. This is a great opportunity to share the good news and bring sunshine to someone’s day.

We welcome families for special events with open arms; however, children under the age of 10 will need to be monitored by respective parents.
Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult for all opportunities.

All events will take place at Central Union Mission located at 1350 R Street NW, unless otherwise stated

NOVEMBER 2008
Event: Seniors luncheon
Date: Wednesday 11/12/2008
Event Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm
10:00am – 11:00am –Bingo
11:00am – 12:00pm – service
12:00pm – 1:00pm - lunch
Volunteers needed & arrival times:
10-serving, clean up - arrival time 11:00am
5-6 drive seniors home
1- Photographer – arrival time 10:00am

Event: Veteran’s Day Luncheon
Date: Tuesday 11/11/2008
Event Time: 11:30am – 1:00pm

Event: Radio One Radio-thon
Date: Thursday 11/18/2008
Event Time: 10:00am -7:00pm
Location: live on mission site.

Event: Help the Homeless Walkathon
Date: Saturday 11/22/2008
Event time: 9:00am
Location: National Mall, Washington, DC
Volunteer arrival time and meeting location: 8:00am at the Navy Archives Metro
Volunteer opportunities: walking for the homelessness

Event: WAVA Radio-thon
Date: Thursday 11/25/2008
