My name is Timothy A. Davis II. I am a 32 year old father of 4 and a husband of 5 years.
For 9 years I have been struggling with drug and alchohol addiction. Going in and out of jains and institutions, wandering, hopelessly waiting for my life to end or a miracle for my life.
On Februray 27, 2009 I decided I did not want to live anymore. My wife and children had been gone from my life and my life was in shambles. I decided under the direction of dispair. I was going to take my own life. Then the miracle happened.
I received a call from a brother in the faith, who just happened to be the director of Central Union Mission's Spritual Transformation Program. His sincere concern for my welfare and my spirit gave me hope. Over the phone he told me that Jesus loved me and so does he. My brother told me to stay on the phone with him while I walked to the Mission, which I happened to be 4 blocks away from. Upon my arrival I was embraced by men who were concerned for me.
I came into the STP with only a hope. In that hope God began to transform me into a new creation.
I have been in the program now for 6 months. Today my wife and children are proud to say they have a new daddy and husband. My relationship with my family has been restored, my sanity has been given back, and I look forward to a better future serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
