Frank McKinney's "Survival to Thrival" Tour to Visit Central Union Mission

You are invited to meet Frank McKinney, real estate specialist and philanthropist, on January 23, 2012, at 5:00 pm when his Survival to Thrival tour bus stops at Central Union Mission. McKinney has started his cross-country tour, stopping at homeless shelters and soup kitchens from Jacksonville to New York, Indianapolis and Nashville to talk about how all of us, including poor and homeless people, can move from survival to "thrival."

McKinney's Caring House Project Foundation (CHPF) pledges to donate at least $25 for each person who attends his talk at each shelter. That means if 200 friends come, CHPF will donate $5,000 to Central Union Mission. If 400 people come, the Mission will receive $10,000. We hope you can come. In addition, CHPF pledges to give direct financial assistance along the tour for individuals who have fallen on hard times.

To spotlight how close most families are to financial ruin--as well as how near we can be to recovery--McKinney will change places with one individual or family at each stop on his tour. He'll stay on the
streets or at the shelter while another stays at his hotel or in his tour bus for the night.

USA Today and The Wall Street Journal have hailed McKinney as the creative force behind some of the world's most magnificent mansions, shattering price records with each new project. A five-time international bestselling author, McKinney's newest release, The Tap (www.The-Tap.com), explains the spiritual influence that moved him to undertake the Survival to Thrival tour this winter: He remembers, "I was 'tapped' by the epiphany that, while we will certainly continue with our work in Haiti, so many people need emergency assistance right here in the USA, including those agencies who represent a lifeline for millions of Americans."

In 1998 he founded the Caring House Project Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and a self-sustaining existence for homeless families in South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Indonesia, and here in the United States. CHPF started domestically by purchasing run-down single-family homes, refurbishing them, and then renting to elderly homeless people for $1 per month.

Since its inception, CHPF has provided shelter to more than 7,500 homeless men, women and children around the globe. In 2012 the focus will be right here in the United States with Frank McKinney's Survival to Thrival Tour.
