The 125th Anniversary Campaign for Compassion
Raising awareness of and support for Washington's poor and forgotten.
Seniors Luncheon March 10, 2010 This luncheon is held monthly and includes various fellowship activities, chapel service and a meal. Registration is required 2 weeks prior to the event. The Mission provides a hearty lunch once month for our senior community residents. The program offers more than just a meal, however. It provides the opportunity for many isolated adults to socialize and interact with their peers in a safe and friendly environment. Seniors participate in a game of bingo, attend a chapel service and share a meal.
Volunteers are always needed to assist with set-up/decorating, serving, clean up, photographing the event and transporting Seniors to and from the Mission. Bring smiles to faces of our elders by providing a cheerful greeting as they sign in at the registration table and walk into the dining area. Assist the kitchen supervisor in the preparation and serving of meals. Chat with seniors and help make their dining experience pleasurable. |
