relocation

Central Union Mission’s Hispanic Family Ministry began eight years ago with two women in a Bible study. Today, the ministry impacts more than 500 families with its Food Depot, clothing ministry, counseling and education programs.

As more families move into this Washington, DC, community that is now half Hispanic, the need for hope and neighborhood stability could not be greater. The Hispanic Family Ministry provides immediate aid as well as the long-term training that enables families to improve their financial situations.

Impact
The Hispanic Ministry reaches out to the Washington area Hispanic population through:
- Bible study
- counseling
- service support
- English as a Second Language classes.

Open To All
Classes are open to all in need. They are predominately attended by Hispanic immigrants. Along with assisting individuals, we are also working with Hispanic pastors in Washington, D.C. to reinforce their efforts and open new doors for ministry.

Outreach
The Hispanic community joins in nearly all of the mission programs. Including:
- food bank,
- furniture and clothing,
- camp,
- back-to-school,
- Christmas bag, and many other programs and activities.

Community
Our outreach ministry continues to expand into the community by utilizing the facilities of the Freedom Baptist Church located at 1519 U Street NW, Washington, DC.
