Many congratulations to Mission Executive Director David O. Treadwell as he celebrated his "Silver Anniversary" with a luncheon at the Mission on March 1. This year marks Mr. Treadwell's 25th year of working for Christian non-profit organizations since his US Army retirement. He has served at Christian Legal Society, Advocates International--and for 14 years, Central Union Mission. We thank him for his dedication and faithfulness.

Philanthropist Frank McKinney brought his "Survival to Thrival" tour bus to Central Union Mission in late January and raised $6,500 for the Mission. He switched places with two Overnight Guests, spending the night in the Mission dormitory, while those two enjoyed the comforts of a local hotel. The tour travelled 4,071 miles throughout the US, stopping at 16 homeless shelters and soup kitchens.
